According to Shams Charania, the Miami Heat have signed guard Dru Smith to a three-year deal.
Smith, already part of Miami’s roster, has had some challenging seasons due to injuries. It’s a surprising move by the Heat, who, after clearing cap space, seemed poised to add a center (Kai Jones was mentioned), but ultimately opted for another guard.
In his last season with the Florida franchise, Smith averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists over 14 games played.
