Draymond Green weighed in on the difficulties of a potential trade between the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat for Jimmy Butler, pointing out the challenges posed by his $52 million annual salary.
“If you want to trade for Jimmy with the least amount of players possible, that means you either have to trade him straight up for Steph, or you have to trade Jimmy for me and Wiggs… I don’t think you’re going to do that,” Green said on The Draymond Show.
His comments highlight the complexities of a Butler trade, which would likely require a multi-team deal or the sacrifice of key Warriors players.
Draymond Green:
“It’s hard to trade a guy that make $52M a year… Say you wanna trade for Jimmy with the least amount of players that you could on our roster. That means either you gotta trade Jimmy straight up for Steph, or you have to trade Jimmy for me and Wiggs… I don’t… pic.twitter.com/TZG88ge3xg
