Draymond Green has come out strongly in defense of LeBron James, pushing back against critics who have questioned the Lakers star’s place in this year’s NBA All-Star Game.
Speaking candidly, the Golden State Warriors veteran dismissed the notion that LeBron should be left out of the All-Star selections, emphasizing both his legacy and continued impact on the league.
“I know a lot of people are like, ‘He shouldn’t be an All-Star.’ Like, shut up,” Green said. “Yes, he should, because he’s an All-Star. He’s been the face of the NBA for 20 years. Yeah, figure it out.”
Green acknowledged that he understands some of the arguments being made, but ultimately rejected them outright.
“I see a lot of people saying that, and I get where you’re coming from — but I don’t get where you’re coming from,” he added. “There’s no world where LeBron James isn’t an All-Star this year. He’ll be an All-Star.”
Green ended his comments on a lighter note, offering a playful birthday shoutout to a close friend, underscoring the relaxed but emphatic tone of his remarks.
