Doug Christie to remain as head coach of the Kings for the season

In the 12 years that Vivek Ranadive has been in charge, Christie is the ninth head coach of the Kings

According to sources who spoke to The Athletic, the Sacramento Kings do not intend to have an in-season coaching search and will give Doug Christie a chance to demonstrate his suitability for the position in the long run.
After Mike Brown was fired, Christie was promoted to temporary head coach. After Brown was sacked, Christie visited with the Kings’ front office right after and agreed to their offer of a temporary elevation.

Jay Triano, a former head coach, departed after Christie did.

In the 12 years that Vivek Ranadive has been in charge, Christie is the ninth head coach of the Kings.
