Former Mavericks GM Donnie Nelson has been appointed as a special adviser to the Slovenian national team, reuniting with Luka Doncic. The move strengthens Slovenia’s preparation for the upcoming EuroBasket.
Nelson brings vast international experience, having worked with Lithuania’s national team in the past. His presence adds a seasoned voice to Slovenia’s efforts.
Slovenia has also hired Lakers assistant coach Greg St. Jean to the coaching staff. This ensures Doncic will have daily Lakers presence during the summer.
