Dolomiti Energia Trentino have appointed Alessandro Rossi as their new head coach. Born in Naples on August 22, 1983, Rossi began his coaching career in Napoli Basket’s youth sector before moving to Rieti, first as assistant coach and later as head coach.
At Rieti, he achieved strong results in Serie A2, reaching the playoffs on multiple occasions. In 2021-22, he joined Givova Scafati and immediately led the club to promotion to the LBA, setting the best winning record in team history and going unbeaten at home between the regular season and playoffs.
Rossi also worked with Italy’s Under-20 national team, winning the European title alongside Theo Airhienbuwa, and has been confirmed again with the Azzurrini for next summer. After his stint with Nutribullet Treviso Basket, he is now ready to begin a new challenge with Dolomiti Energia Trentino.
