Dinamo Sassari are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with American point guard Daryl Macon, who will wear the biancoblu jersey until the end of the season.
Player Profile
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on November 29, 1995, standing 188 cm tall, Macon is a talented guard who brings solid high-level experience, including several seasons in Europe.
He developed at Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School before beginning his college career at Holmes Community College, where he averaged over 23 points per game across two seasons and earned NJCAA All-American honors. He later transferred to the Arkansas Razorbacks, quickly becoming one of the team’s leaders. As a senior, he averaged 17.1 points and 4 assists per game, emerged as the best three-point shooter in the Southeastern Conference, and was named to the All-SEC Second Team.
Undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Macon signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks, splitting time between the NBA and the G League with the Texas Legends. He made his NBA debut on October 26, 2018, against the Toronto Raptors. He later had a similar experience with the Miami Heat and their G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging 17 points and 4.7 assists per game.
In the summer of 2020, he moved to Europe for the first time, signing with Galatasaray S.K., where he also faced Dinamo during the Basketball Champions League group stage. In January 2021, he joined AEK Athens B.C., posting outstanding numbers (18.2 points and 3.7 assists per game).
Those performances earned him a move the following season to Panathinaikos B.C., where he also competed in the EuroLeague, averaging 13.1 points per game with a season-high 34-point performance against Anadolu Efes.
In 2022, he signed with UNICS Kazan, helping the team win the VTB United League title while averaging over 15 points per game and earning a spot in the league’s First Team.
He then had two stints in China: first with the Shenzhen Aviators (18.9 points and 6.1 assists per game), followed by the Shanghai Sharks (13.7 points per game in the regular season).
In 2025/26, Macon returned to Greece with Maroussi B.C., where in 18 league games he averaged 12.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 25 minutes per game.
Now, a new chapter in biancoblu begins.
Welcome to Sardinia, Daryl!
