Dimitris Giannakopoulos praises Obradovic: He is teaching how basketball will be played for the next 10 years

Panathinaikos has opened the EuroLeague season with a perfect 4-0 record, winning every game by at least 18 points. Owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos praised Zeljko Obradovic’s work and the current structure of the club on social media.

“It’s a huge satisfaction to watch something so great being built, that logically there will never be a reason to sit courtside again, under any circumstances,” Giannakopoulos wrote.

The Panathinaikos owner added: “I believe this is the healthiest organisation ever and this year, regardless of results, will be a season we are going to tell our grandkids about and shiver.”

He then praised Obradovic directly: “He is teaching how basketball will be played for the next 10 years.” Panathinaikos had not started a EuroLeague season 4-0 since 2007-08, when the team opened with seven straight wins.
