Olimpia Milano presented Devon Hall, one of the team’s 7 new arrivals for next season, during a press conference.
“Devon Hall is another young player, on whom we have bet convinced that he will prove us right,” said the general manager of Olimpia, Christos Stavropoulos, introducing the guard out of Virginia.
“This is the great opportunity that I wanted, to compete at the highest level, to play for great goals. I am happy and excited to be here, ”says Hall.
On the Euroleague: “It’s the most competitive league that exists in Europe, in some ways I think I am ready, for my versatility, the ability to shoot, to create opportunities for teammates, to fight on defense. I’ll probably have to work a little to slow down, understand situations better, read what’s happening on the court. Fortunately, I have teammates who will help me speed up the process ”.
The level of the EuroLeague guards – “Every time there will be someone very strong, it’s a League where you can never be unprepared. There isn’t a particular opponent I can’t wait to play against, simply because everyone is, starting with the guards I meet every day in training ”.
Versatility – “It may be that from an NBA perspective it affected me negatively, because that is a league of specialists, in which everyone must have a role, even as a label, point-guard, shooting guard, combo etc. But here in Europe my versatility is a strong point and speaking with Coach Messina I had confirmation. Being able to do more things and play in more roles helps you here. What I need to improve in order to eventually return to the NBA at this point does not matter, because I am focused on Milan, the EuroLeague and the Italian league. I have to improve but from this point of view ”.
