The Detroit Pistons got Cade Cunningham back in the best possible way. Returning after being sidelined since March 19, the guard finished with a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists in 26 minutes as Detroit cruised to a 137-111 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Cunningham said he felt really good on the floor and thanked the medical staff for helping him return in comfort. During his absence, Detroit still went 8-3, showing the depth and confidence built by J.B. Bickerstaff’s group.
The Pistons have already secured the No. 1 seed in the East, and Cunningham’s return adds further momentum ahead of the postseason. The awards discussion remains open, though: even if he plays Detroit’s last two games, he would finish with 64 appearances, one short of the NBA’s 65-game threshold.
