Derthona Basket have announced the signing of Paul Eboua. The 2.03-meter forward-center, born on February 15, 2000 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and raised in Douala, returns to Italy after a stint abroad with ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, where he made his EuroLeague debut.
Last season, Eboua started with Trapani, averaging 10.7 points and 9.2 rebounds in Serie A and 8.2 points with 5.8 rebounds in the BCL before moving to France in January 2026. With ASVEL, he played 18 EuroLeague games, starting 13, and averaged 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18.8 minutes, shooting 54.2% from two and 40.4% from three. In the French league, he added 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game.
“I wanted to return to Italy and play for a structured and very organized club,” Eboua said. “I think I can immediately bring rebounds, energy and defense to the team.” Head coach Mario Fioretti added: “Paul brings us athleticism, versatility and a great work ethic. We are sure he can be the ideal player to complement Dominik Olejniczak, Justin Gorham and Giulio Gazzotti.”
