The guard joins from Pallacanestro Cantù for the 2026-27 season

Derthona Basket has announced an agreement with Giordano Bortolani. The Sicilian guard, listed at 193 centimeters and turning 26 in December, joins from Pallacanestro Cantù for the 2026-27 season.

Bortolani developed in Olimpia Milano’s youth system and played 76 senior games with the club, winning the Italian league title and Supercup in 2023-24 and also making his EuroLeague debut. His career also includes stops at Bernareggio, Legnano, Biella, Brescia, Treviso, Manresa, Verona and Cantù, along with 23 appearances for the Italian national team.

Last season with Cantù, he averaged 12.7 points in 24.1 minutes, shooting 59.3% from two, 38.0% from three and 77.6% at the free-throw line. “When Derthona called me, I had no doubts,” Bortolani said, while coach Mario Fioretti highlighted his technical and human qualities.
