Derek Fisher believes the Los Angeles Lakers can remain competitive following LeBron James’ departure. According to the former point guard, Luka Doncic’s presence should prevent the team from suffering a dramatic decline.
Fisher views Doncic and Austin Reaves as an All-Star-level backcourt while identifying Walker Kessler’s defense and rebounding as important parts of the Lakers’ new foundation.
“I think you have a chance at 45 to 50 wins,” Fisher told 97.1 The Fan LA, although he acknowledged that several things will need to go right for Los Angeles to reach that range.
