Denver Nuggets, Christian Braun agree to five-year, $125 million extension

According to Shams Charania (ESPN), the Denver Nuggets and Christian Braun have agreed to a five-year, $125 million extension, securing the 23-year-old as a long-term piece of their championship core.

Braun averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 79 games last season, improving his three-point shooting from 22.2% to 29.6%. The move follows Denver’s trade of Michael Porter Jr. to the Brooklyn Nets, which opened cap flexibility.

With this deal, the Nuggets now have Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Braun all signed long-term — reinforcing the team’s stability and title ambitions.
