According to Encestando, the US guard still has a valid deal with UCAM Murcia, leaving him with two official contracts.

David DeJulius’ move to Besiktas has created a complicated contractual situation. As reported by Encestando, the Turkish club announced the signing of the American guard despite the player still being under contract with UCAM Murcia until 2028.

No agreement has been reached between DeJulius and the Spanish club to terminate the deal, meaning the player currently has two active contracts.

UCAM Murcia has taken the matter to court, where a judge will determine the compensation required for the player and Besiktas to complete his release. Until the situation is resolved, FIBA is reportedly unable to issue the transfer needed for DeJulius to be officially registered with the Turkish team.
