The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a deal with Dean Wade, according to The Athletic. The free-agent forward will sign a four-year, $39 million contract with the franchise.
Wade was regarded as one of the better wing defenders available on the market and will reunite with current 76ers general manager Mike Gansey, who discovered him during his time in Cleveland.
With the Cavaliers, Wade became an important role player and started for much of his tenure. His 36 percent three-point shooting gives Philadelphia another valuable fit alongside Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, adding spacing, balance and defensive versatility.
