Day’Ron Sharpe, Nets Agree to Two-Year, $12M Deal

Day’Ron Sharpe will stay with the Brooklyn Nets on a two-year, $12 million contract. The 2021 first-round pick out of North Carolina was set to become an unrestricted free agent after Brooklyn declined to tender him a qualifying offer.

Sharpe appeared in 50 games last season, averaging 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 18.1 minutes per game. The Nets continue to believe in Sharpe’s potential as a physical, high-energy big man who can strengthen the team’s frontcourt rotation under coach Jordi Fernandez.
