Davion Mitchell has reached an agreement with the Miami Heat on a two-year, $24 million contract, according to Shams Charania.
The 26-year-old point guard from Baylor averaged 10.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 44% from three-point range in 30 games with the Heat.
Mitchell joined Miami as part of the trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors.
Although he was a restricted free agent — meaning the Heat could have matched any offer — both sides opted to finalize a new deal early, signaling a mutual desire to continue their partnership.
