Darius Garland made his season debut and the Cleveland Cavaliers responded with their highest-scoring game of the year, beating the Philadelphia 76ers 132-121. Garland logged 8 points and 4 assists in 26 minutes, while Donovan Mitchell exploded for 46 points.
“It was great to be back with my teammates,” Garland said after missing seven games following toe surgery. The Cavs, who had struggled offensively, looked more like last season’s top-seeded version with Garland back orchestrating.
Coach Kenny Atkinson praised his point guard: “He got us back in our comfort zone. Everybody looked more natural out there.”
