Danny Green, former player and NBA champion now turned analyst, has revealed some behind-the-scenes details about Russell Westbrook’s departure from the Denver Nuggets.
According to the former Spurs and Raptors player, among other reasons, Westbrook reportedly decided not to stay in Denver because the franchise was not willing to guarantee him any playing time.
Here’s what Green said during his podcast “GreenRoomInside”: “From what I heard is that they were not planning on to play him at all this year, even behind certain guys that he should be above.”
Westbrook now is still free agent.
