CAA will guide commercial strategy for the franchise’s future venue project, focusing on naming rights and founding partner opportunities

The Dallas Mavericks announced they have hired CAA Sports as their sales agency of record to guide commercial strategy for the franchise’s future arena development. The partnership will focus on securing naming rights and founding partner opportunities, spanning both current planning and long-term commercialization.

“We have an ambitious vision for the future of the Dallas Mavericks,” said CEO Rick Welts, pointing to CAA Sports’ industry relationships and track record. CAA Sports Managing Director and President Paul Danforth called it a major opportunity for brands to align with a “dynamic” organization in the Dallas market.

CAA Sports says it has generated more than $15 billion in new sponsorship business since 2007 and has led naming-rights deals for venues including Levi’s Stadium, Chase Center, and Intuit Dome. Mavericks President Ethan Casson emphasized the value of having experienced advisors involved early in arena development.
