The Dallas Mavericks announced that rookie Cooper Flagg has a left midfoot sprain that will keep him out through All-Star Weekend. An MRI on Wednesday confirmed the sprain, which occurred during Tuesday’s game at Phoenix.

A team source told ESPN that Flagg is expected to be available immediately after the break. He will miss Thursday’s road game against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Rising Stars Game at All-Star Weekend.

Dallas’ first game after the break is Feb. 20 at Minnesota. The Mavs have dropped eight straight despite Flagg’s production, and the 19-year-old is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the season.
