Cooper Flagg was ruled out after halftime in the Dallas Mavericks’ 118-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets due to a sprained left ankle.
Dallas announced early in the third quarter that the No. 1 pick would not return.

Flagg twisted the ankle while defending Peyton Watson on a drive with 6:01 left in the second quarter.
He limped straight to the tunnel, later returned briefly, but showed visible discomfort as he finished the quarter.
Cooper Flagg was laboring hard on his ankle. He went to the locker room.
Flagg injured his left ankle in the teams win against the Nets on Monday.

It marked the second straight game Flagg turned the same ankle after returning Monday vs Brooklyn following a retape.
Dallas also lost Daniel Gafford in the third quarter to a sprained right ankle that has lingered since training camp.
