CSKA’s Dimitris Itoudis tips off new TIME OUT series on coaches

The first episode of TIME OUT featured defending continental champion Dimitris Itoudis of CSKA Moscow

Euroleague Basketball fans, here’s your chance to get to know Europe’s greatest coaches like never before. The most accomplished bench bosses on the continent bring their stories to life in a new video series, TIME OUT, that serves to take you closer than ever to some of the best minds in the sport of basketball.

Euroleague Basketball and the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board have collaborated on this new content to support the #EUROLEAGUEUNITED campaign by giving some of the main spokesmen of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup the floor to inspire you and honor our mutual love for basketball during difficult times.

Get to know these famous figures, their philosophies on the game and their life stories in a way that puts you, the fan, practically on the bench next to them. There, you can learn about them as professionals and as people to understand the challenges they face on and off the court.

The first episode of TIME OUT featured defending continental champion Dimitris Itoudis of CSKA Moscow.

“People say you’ve got a good team, you are going to the Final Four and you are going to walk in the park,” Itoudis observes. “It’s not a walk in the park, never used to be and never will be.”

Coach Itoudis was interviewed at-length for the episode by journalist Sotiris Vetakis, one of a series of experts and personalities who will moderate the series. Upcoming episodes feature Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul legend Zeljko Obradovic talking to actor Darko Peric; Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv boss Ioannis Sfairopoulos being interviewed by journalist Aris Barkas; and Anadolu Efes Istanbul coach Ergin Ataman on his life beyond basketball.

The members of the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board are very active in the #EUROLEAGUEUNITED campaign of mutual support and encouragement from all stakeholders of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the 7DAYS EuroCup during the unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

TIME OUT gives fans the opportunity to meet the coaches who make Euroleague Basketball competitions so respected and learn what you have in common with them. Unlike at the final buzzer, TIME OUT is a win-win prospect for anyone who wishes to understand more about the game and the people who make it great. Enjoy!
