CSKA Moscow coach Dimitris Itoudis has won the fight against coronavirus infection.

Today Dimitris was released from the Regional General Hospital for Pulmonary and Heart Diseases “Sotiria” in Athens, Greece, where he concluded the final part of his rehabilitation. He will also undergo several tests next week before flying to Moscow for CSKA training camp.

“Thanks God, I am fully healthy and ready to return to normal life,” Dimitris Itoudis said. “I know that many CSKA fans expressed their support, they wrote many messages to me and the club, I really appreciate it. Also big thanks to the medical staff and all people involved in my rehabilitation here in Athens, they really cared a lot. Special thanks to my doctors: Mrs. Pulaku Garifalia, infectious disease physician assistance professor of Mr. Sirygos, Mr. Tsiodras, the main Greek infectious disease Doctor, and Mr.Kikilias, the Greek Minister of Health. Even though I stay in constant contact with our players, coaches and management, I am watching the practices recorded on video and interact with my assistants daily, I truly miss the team, I miss basketball work, so I am anxious to return as soon as I get the final clearance.”
