The news had been in the air, but now it’s official: Sasa Obradovic is the new head coach Crvena Zvezda Belgrade.
The Serbian coach replaces the dismissed Sfairopoulos. For Obradovic, this marks a return to Crvena Zvezda, as he not only played for the Belgrade Reds between 1987 and 1993 and again from 1999 to 2000, but also served as the team’s head coach for a stint in 2020.
Obradovic is coming off a three-year stint in France with Monaco, where he was replaced by the current coach, Spanoulis.
