Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg and Charlotte Hornets wing Kon Knueppel are the first NBA Rookies of the Month of the 2024/25 season, representing the Western and Eastern Conference respectively.
The two players, who were college teammates at Duke, become the first pair from the same school to win the award in the same month since the NBA began handing out separate honors for each conference in the 2001–02 season.
Flagg — the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft — is averaging 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
Knueppel — selected No. 4 overall by the Hornets — is putting up 18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3 assists, while shooting 41% from three.
