The Los Angeles Clippers have strongly rejected the NBA’s findings in the Kawhi Leonard investigation. In a statement reported by ESPN, the franchise described the probe as “heavily biased” and designed to support a predetermined narrative.
The organization also claimed that the league’s private communication differed from its public announcement. The Clippers said they intend to challenge the penalties “through every avenue available to us.”
In a letter to commissioner Adam Silver, Steve Ballmer’s attorney David Kelley called the investigation a “witch hunt” and the punishment a “gross injustice,” arguing that the NBA failed to provide a fair process.
