According to the New York Times, the franchise could file a lawsuit and seek a restraining order aimed at temporarily blocking enforcement of the sanctions.
The Clippers have already called the investigation “heavily biased,” claiming the league’s private communication differed from its public conclusions.
The NBA stripped Los Angeles of five future first-round picks, imposed a $30 million fine and suspended Ballmer for one year. It remains unclear whether the organization will ultimately take legal action.
