Christos Stavropoulos, general manager of Olimpia Milano, spoke to ANSA reporter Luca Guazzoni during the presentation of Omoda Mocauto as the club’s Official Automotive Partner.
“Our first objective was to build a balanced team, and I think we achieved that,” Stavropoulos said. “This will be a physically tough team. I see hungry players and the right mix of experience and newcomers at this level.”
The Italian Super Cup will provide the first competitive test: “We would like to win all three domestic trophies again, but it will be very difficult. If Milan wins the Super Cup, everyone says: ‘Of course.’ If you lose it, the trouble begins.”
Discussing Europe, he added: “We all want to reach the playoffs, but it is extremely difficult. We will give our best to improve.” On NBA Europe, Stavropoulos said: “Working together would be ideal. Otherwise, EuroLeague already has clear plans for its future.”
