According to Chinese journalist Jia Lei, next CBA season could be be played without foreign players, at least the first part of the year, sources say.
The decision of CBA shareholders has been submitted to the General Administration of Sports for approval, as reported by Sina.
A season without foreigners could help teams to save around $4 million of euro each.
Chinese CBA is also planning to return the format with home/away games.
A decision is expected soon.
China will host Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022.
