The Chicago Bulls are moving forward in their search for a new head coach. According to Jake Fischer and Marc Stein, the franchise has begun interviewing finalists for the position this week.

The reported list includes Tiago Splitter, acting coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, Ryan Schmidt, assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks, and Micah Nori, assistant coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Chicago is looking to replace Billy Donovan, who stepped down on April 21.

Splitter led Portland to a 42-40 record and its first playoff appearance since 2021. Schmidt has spent the last two years on the Hawks’ staff, while Nori has worked as an NBA assistant for years and drew previous interest from the Suns and Knicks.
