Charlotte Hornets’ Steve Clifford to step down at the end of the season

Steve Clifford will step down as coach of the Charlotte Hornets at the end of the season to take up a management role within the franchise, according to a report by ESPN.

Clifford, 62, communicated his decision to assistants and players, and will lead the team in the final seven games starting with the game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
