Celtics legend Tom Heinsohn passes away at 86

Heinsohn won 10 championships with the Celtics as a player and as a coach

The NBA mourns the loss of Boston Celtics legend Tom Heinsohn, who passed away today at 86.

An Hall of Famer, Heinsohn won eight NBA championships (1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965) with the Celtics as a member of the historic dynasty. He returned to Boston as the head coach in 1969 and won two more championships in 1974 and 1976. His No. 15 jersey is retired by the Celtics.
