Celtics acquire Jrue Holiday for Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon and two first rounders

In exchange for Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, a 2024 first-round selection from the Golden State Warriors, and a 2029 first-round pick that is not protected, the Boston Celtics have acquired Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Holiday was acquired by the Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard deal. Portland presently intends to keep Williams, but given that they are dedicated to their current crop of young guards in Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons, and Shaedon Sharpe, they may attempt to trade for Brogdon in a separate deal.
