Cedevita Olimpija continues to complete its roster ahead of the 2026/27 season. The Slovenian club has announced the signing of Osayi Osifo, a 26-year-old, 206-centimeter forward/center who has agreed to a two-year contract in Ljubljana.
Born on April 6, 2000, in Vereeniging, South Africa, Osifo built his college career in the United States, first playing for the Florida Gators before spending two seasons with the Jacksonville Dolphins.
He turned professional in 2024, joining the Austin Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs’ G League affiliate, where he played during the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons. During the 2024/25 campaign, he also gained experience in the Canadian CEBL, appearing in eight games for the Calgary Surge.
Last season, Osifo played 28 games for Austin, averaging 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. He finished the campaign in Egypt with Al Ahly Cairo, averaging 7.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists over nine Basketball Africa League appearances. His defensive performances earned him a spot on the BAL All-Defensive Second Team.
Osifo also spent the summer in the United States, playing five games in the NBA Summer League with the Denver Nuggets. He averaged 6.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game.
Cedevita Olimpija sporting director Chechu Mulero praised Osifo’s energy, physicality, athleticism and defensive potential. Head coach Zvezdan Mitrović highlighted his mobility and aggression, noting that he brings a different type of player to the team’s roster.
“I am very happy to join a top organization like Cedevita Olimpija. The club has a culture of winning and excellence, and I want to become part of it and contribute to it,” Osifo said after signing.
