Casper Ware considering opting out of deal with Sydney Kings

Ware will be able to opt out of his contract for two weeks from the signing of the agreement

Casper Ware is considering opting out of his guaranteed deal with Sydney Kings for next season, an NBL source told Sportando.

The former NBA guard, one of the highest paid imports in Australia,  averaged 17.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists for the Kings this season.

Under the new agreement reached by The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League, Australian Basketball Players’Association (ABPA) and the nine NBL clubs, Ware’s contract will be hit by a 50% pay cut.

According to the new agreement players “will be able to opt out of their contract for the 2020-21 season for two weeks from the signing of the agreement with their NBL rights to be held by h respective clubs”.
