Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could be on the move in the coming weeks. According to Chris Haynes, the veteran guard and the Memphis Grizzlies are negotiating a buyout that would allow the two sides to part ways.
Once the agreement is finalized, Caldwell-Pope has reportedly already identified his preferred destination: the Philadelphia 76ers. The 1993-born guard is looking to reunite with LeBron James, his former teammate during their time together with the Los Angeles Lakers.
A reliable perimeter defender and consistent three-point shooter, Caldwell-Pope would be a valuable addition for a team with championship ambitions. The two-time NBA champion would bring experience, versatility and a strong presence on the wing to Philadelphia’s roster.
The potential move would add another experienced piece around LeBron James as the 76ers continue to build a competitive team with the goal of making a deep postseason run.
