Joey and Jesse Buss, long-time executives with the Los Angeles Lakers, have officially launched Buss Sports Capital, a firm focused on acquisitions and partnerships across the global sports industry.
“Our vision is to pursue strategic investments and good partners — not compete with the Lakers or the NBA,” Joey told ESPN. The move follows the $10 billion valuation sale of the family’s controlling stake in the Lakers.
“I look forward to working with my brother for the next 50 years and hopefully pass this on to our children. That’s what our dad would have wanted,” Jesse said, honoring Jerry Buss’ legacy.
