Burgos’ Ken Horton: “Winning BCL would mean a lot to me”

Horton has led Burgos to the BCL final with a strong double-double against Dijon.

Ken Horton had 19 points and 10 rebounds against JDA Dijon to help San Pablo Burgos get the win in the BCL Final 8 semifinals (81-67).

Here’s what he had to say after the game:

“I’m just trying to do whatever I can to help us win. It may not be scoring every night, it may be rebounding, it may just be defense and be a presence on the floor. Tonight the team got me in involved very early and I was consistent all game long.

This system is very easy to play in. Part is because we have a lot of guys who are very good on any given night. Tonight it was Benite and myself, but the next night it may be Thad, Dejan or Omar. It could be anybody.

Winning the BCL trophy would mean a lot for me personally. I won some league championships during my career, but never won a European competition. And I know that for the city of Burgos it would mean a lot too. Everybody is just focused on the ultimate goal – winning the trophy. One more win and we can celebrate.”

Burgos will face AEK in the Final tomorrow, at 19:00 CET.
