Jones could return earlier with a protective splint

Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Jones Jr. fractured his right index finger on Tuesday while working out at the Advocate Center.

Jones, sidelined since sustaining a bone bruise vs. the Brooklyn Nets on January 12, has been placed in a splint and is expected to return in 6-8 weeks
