Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future is once again part of NBA trade speculation. According to Gery Woelfel, people he trusts have told him they believe the Milwaukee Bucks could trade Antetokounmpo to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In that possible scenario, the key player going to Milwaukee would be Evan Mobley, the Cavaliers big man. Woelfel also pointed to Mobley’s poor performance in Cleveland’s latest game, when he finished with 9 points and just 1 rebound in 36 minutes.
The report should still be treated as market speculation, but it raises a major offseason storyline: Milwaukee’s possible future after Antetokounmpo and whether Mobley could become the centerpiece of a new frontcourt.
