Booed in his return to Indianapolis, Myles Turner found redemption through his new team’s support — and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s buzzer-beating jumper that lifted the Milwaukee Bucks past the Indiana Pacers 117-115. As the shot fell, Giannis turned to the hostile crowd, giving a thumbs-down before shushing them.
“It was frustrating,” Turner said after receiving boos during a tribute video. “You give 10 years, do everything right — it hurts.” Antetokounmpo, who tallied 33 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists, added: “We wanted this win for him. He gave everything to Indiana, and now he gives everything to us.”
Coach Doc Rivers condemned the fan reaction, reminding that Turner “wasn’t looking to leave.” Turner, who joined Milwaukee this offseason on a four-year, $107 million deal, finished with 9 points and 5 blocks in an emotional homecoming.
