The Milwaukee Bucks confirmed Giannis Antetokounmpo is out indefinitely due to a calf strain. Antetokounmpo said he believes he’ll miss four to six weeks, similar to a previous stretch with the same issue.
Coach Doc Rivers stressed the team hasn’t discussed ending Giannis’ season despite the calf history: “There’s no thought to that.” At the same time, Rivers emphasized caution on the timeline: “There’s really no timetable.”
Milwaukee sits at 18-26 and is 3-11 without Antetokounmpo. The Bucks will receive the lesser first-round pick between their own and the New Orleans Pelicans’, with wider trade-deadline chatter also lingering around Giannis’ long-term future.
