Doc Rivers’ future in Milwaukee is being described as increasingly uncertain. Stein reported that there is growing anticipation that the Bucks and Rivers could be headed toward some type of split, or at least a restructuring of his job inside the organization, after a little more than two seasons on the bench.
The same report identifies Taylor Jenkins as a legitimate candidate if Milwaukee decides to make a coaching change. The former Memphis Grizzlies head coach is viewed as one of the early names in the mix for a possible replacement.
Rivers was hired by the Bucks in January 2024 following the abrupt dismissal of Adrian Griffin. Around the same time, it was also confirmed that Rivers will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, adding another layer to the current situation around Milwaukee’s bench.
