Cotton has been two-time MVP in NBL

Bryce Cotton is considering opting out of his deal with Perth for next season and becoming a free agent, an NBL source told Sportando.

Cotton has won 3 of the last 4 championships in 2017, 2019, 2020, was League MVP in 2018 and 2020 and League scoring leader in 2017, 2019, 2020.

Under the new agreement between NBL, teams and players’ association, Cotton’s salary will be reduced by 50% next season.

Players will be able to opt out of their contract for the 2020-21 season for two weeks from the signing of the agreement with their NBL rights to be held by their respective clubs.
