Sporting director Angelozzi cools the buzz: “Right now he has no plan, he only complimented us. If and when he becomes operational, we’ll see.”

Bryan Colangelo, a former NBA GM with stints at the Suns, Raptors and 76ers and a two-time Executive of the Year (2005, 2007), has been spotted at Cagliari’s Unipol Domus, fueling talk around potential investor interest.

Given his resume, any future operational role would be viewed as a possible shift toward a more structured “sport-business” approach to organization, facilities and brand growth.

For now, however, Cagliari sporting director Nereo Angelozzi set the tone: “Bryan Colangelo among the investors? I had the pleasure of meeting him at the training center; at the moment he hasn’t made any plans, he just paid us compliments. If and when he becomes operational, we’ll see.”
