Bruno Fernando is a new player for Anadolu Efes. The Turkish club announced the signing of the Angolan center, born in 1998, to a contract valid for the next two seasons.
Born in Luanda, Fernando played at the University of Maryland before being selected with the 34th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. As the first Angolan ever selected in the draft’s history, he played for the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and several G League teams.
After his NBA stint, Fernando joined Real Madrid for the 2024–25 season, winning the Liga ACB, before playing for Partizan. In the most recent EuroLeague season, he averaged 8.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game.
