Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens faced questions about Jaylen Brown’s future during his media availability following the NBA Draft, where Boston selected big man Chris Cenac Jr. with the No. 27 pick.

Reports surfaced on Tuesday suggesting that the Celtics’ front office could be willing to listen to offers for the five-time All-Star, who is coming off a season in which many considered him among the MVP candidates.

“Jaylen Brown is a big part of us,” Stevens said. “I’m never going to predict the future, but everything we’ve done and built over the last several years has been around those two guys. Obviously, you never know what can happen.

“At the same time, I want to make it very clear how valued Jaylen has always been. He’s been amazing. He’s been an incredible teammate and a great person to be around every day. Whether that run ends 10 years from now when he retires or before, there will be a lot to celebrate.

“We have a great relationship, an open and honest relationship where we talk about everything. But I don’t want to predict the future.”

According to Chris Mannix, the Celtics continued trade discussions with multiple teams on Tuesday as they explore ways to add a high-impact big man to the roster. Two names reportedly on Boston’s radar are Evan Mobley and Alperen Sengun.

A potential package involving several players from the Atlanta Hawks is also worth monitoring, as the franchise is believed to have interest in bringing the Georgia native back home.
