Boza Maljkovic: “What did Zenit do for European basketball more than Partizan?”

Serbian Olympic Committee president lashes out at Euroleague decision to confirm the current 18 teams for next season.

In an interview with TV Prva, Serbian Olympic Committee president Boza Maljkovic has contested Euroleague decision to confirm the same 18 teams for next season as well.

“Euroleague people said that in their competition there are no gifts. I would like to ask them – what did Zenit do for the European basketball more than Partizan? They just have Gazprom. What is that if not a gift? It would’ve been a gentleman move if they had two more spots for the best teams in Eurocup: Partizan and Virtus Bologna”, he said.
